Just Another Edition of "David Wright Big Penis Time"

Last night, the New York Mets won their 10th in a row by defeating the Cincinnati Reds 10 – 8.  This put them in a tie for 1st Place in the NL East with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Trailing 8-6, the Mets scored four runs and had six straight hits in the ninth inning to take their first game after the All-Star break and come within one of the franchise record for consecutive victories.

David Wright decided to be a total hardass and belt a two run homer in the 9th to start the four run rally.  It was the biggest comeback of the season for New York’s other major league team.

Due to the complex laws of physics and baseball, the Mets will piss this away later on in the season and send Dr. Funke, D.D.S, into a drunken rage of sorrow and despair.  Mac10 and I are already setting up the suicide watch schedule.

Until then, good for you, Doc.

I figured one of several things might have happened:

    1) He’s still drunk from their win last night, passed out somewhere in a gutter
    2) He’s wearing Beltran’s skin as a hat
    3) He didn’t get to it earlier, and I couldn’t find anything noteworthy.

Mostly #3, but I feel like 1 and 2 are decent picks.

Wudgles, I don’t know why you think I turned into Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs and started wearing the skin of people I’ve murdered. I’m merely hiding under a rock, fearing the “yin” that is soon to accompany the “yan” that is the Mets’ 10 game win streak. This “yin,” of course, is a 25 game losing streak that will probably start tomorrow. How am I so terrified in the middle of a 10 game win streak?
