Mets Win 10 In A Row, Tie for 1st in NL East

Last night, the New York Mets won their 10th in a row by defeating the Cincinnati Reds 10 – 8. This put them in a tie for 1st Place in the NL East with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Trailing 8-6, the Mets scored four runs and had six straight hits in the ninth inning to take their first game after the All-Star break and come within one of the franchise record for consecutive victories.
David Wright decided to be a total hardass and belt a two run homer in the 9th to start the four run rally. It was the biggest comeback of the season for New York’s other major league team.
Due to the complex laws of physics and baseball, the Mets will piss this away later on in the season and send Dr. Funke, D.D.S, into a drunken rage of sorrow and despair. Mac10 and I are already setting up the suicide watch schedule.
Until then, good for you, Doc.
