Cubs Players Continue Hazing of New Teammate

In Rich Harden’s first start for the Cubs, he threw 5 1/3 innings of shutout ball and left with a 7-0 lead. For his next performance, Harden threw 7 innings of 1-hit ball. He is currently 0-1. After Carlos Marmol blew a 5-run 9th inning lead in the first game, the Cubs hitters only managed 2 hits (both singles) in a 2-0 loss to the D-Backs last night. The Cubs finally threatened in the 9th last night with 2 on, nobody out, and the heart of the order coming up, until Derrek Lee continued his quest to break Sammy Sosa’s record for most GIDP in clutch situations. It looks like Harden will have to hit a home run while throwing a perfect game if he ever wants that first Cubs win.
NL-The Brewers edged the Cards in 10 after blowing the lead in the 9th to pull even with the Redbirds, 2 behind the Cubs in the Central…Francisco Cordero showed why he makes the big bucks by blowing the save against the worst-team-in-baseball Padres…Some guy named Campillo shut out the Marlins through seven to lead Atlanta to a 4-0 win…The Dodgers tried to blow an 11-run lead but couldn’t quite do it in their 16-10 win over the Rox… The Astros’ Jose Valverde did his best Cordero impression giving up 6 runs in the 9th to the Pirates to lose 9-3.
AL-Apparently, there is another league in baseball. Some of their teams played against each other with some winning and others losing.
